Who is responsible

McCrafter is an independent project, with no company behind it, operated by an individual, who is the controller of the site and of this policy.

In short

• Your images, audio and projects are processed in your browser and are never sent to McCrafter or anyone else.
• There are no accounts or sign-up, and McCrafter does not use analytics tools.
• The site shows ads from NitroPay, which together with its partners uses cookies and technical data to show and measure them.
• The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which receives technical data from each visit to deliver the pages and protect them.
• If you write to us, we use your email only to reply to you.

Your files and projects

The tools run entirely on your device. The images, audio tracks, skins and packs you load or create are processed in your browser’s memory and are not uploaded to any server.

McCrafter cannot see, store or recover them: when you close the tab, anything you have not downloaded is lost.

Data stored on your device

McCrafter stores a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) so the app works the way you left it:

• your app preferences;
• the names of the last tools you opened and when you opened them, if you have that option turned on;
• whether you dismissed the prompt to install the app.

This data does not leave your device and McCrafter does not receive it. You can delete it from the app preferences or by clearing the site data in your browser.

Advertising

McCrafter is free and funded by ads served by NitroPay (Nitro), an advertising network based in the United States. To show ads, measure their performance, limit how many times you see the same one and prevent fraud, NitroPay and its advertising partners may collect, through cookies, identifiers and similar technologies:

• your IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
• cookie or device identifiers;
• information about your browser and device, such as its type, language and screen resolution;
• the pages you visit on McCrafter and your interaction with the ads.

Depending on your region and your choices, ads may be personalized, based on your interests, or non-personalized. NitroPay processes this data under its own privacy policy. McCrafter does not receive this data in a form that identifies you; it only receives aggregated performance and revenue reports.

You can also limit personalized advertising through your browser’s cookie settings, with the regional options described below, or at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.

Hosting and security

The site is served from Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. Like any web server, Cloudflare receives technical data with each visit, such as your IP address, your browser, the page you request and the time, and uses it to deliver the site, protect it from attacks and keep security logs for a limited time, under its privacy policy.

The site is always served over HTTPS. Because the tools do not upload your files, there is no copy of them that could leak.

If you write to us

If you write to [email protected], we use your email address and what you tell us only to reply to you and handle your request. Email is received through an email provider that stores it on McCrafter’s behalf.

We keep messages for as long as we need them to help you and then delete them, unless we must keep them to comply with a legal obligation or to defend a right.

Purposes and legal bases

• Delivering and protecting the site: this is necessary to provide the service you request and serves the legitimate interest of keeping it secure.
• Showing and measuring ads: this is based on your consent where the law requires it, such as in the European Union, and otherwise on the legitimate interest of funding a free service, with your right to object. You can refuse without losing access to the tools.
• Replying to your messages: this is based on your consent, which you give by writing to us.

McCrafter does not sell your data for money or use it to make automated decisions that legally affect you. Even so, allowing advertising partners to collect data to show personalized ads may be considered “selling” or “sharing” under California law, as explained below.

International transfers

NitroPay and Cloudflare operate in the United States and other countries, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live. These transfers are necessary to provide the service and are made to providers that process the data under their own privacy policies and the transfer mechanisms they state in them.

Your data and your rights

McCrafter has no accounts, does not receive your files and has no servers or databases with information about you. There is no profile or history of yours that we could look up, give to you or delete.

The data from your visit is processed by NitroPay and Cloudflare under their own policies. To control it:

• decide whether you accept personalized advertising with the consent links in the footer;
• clear the cookies and site data in your browser;
• or contact NitroPay or Cloudflare directly, through the policies linked above, to access, correct or delete that data or object to its use.

If you have questions, or believe your data was not handled properly, you can file a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

If you are in the European Union

If you visit the site from a region where the GDPR applies, such as the European Union and the European Economic Area, NitroPay’s consent tool asks you the first time whether you accept the use of cookies and data for advertising. You can change your decision at any time with the consent preferences link in the footer.

The GDPR gives you the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict its processing, object to it, take it to another service and lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country. For advertising data, you exercise these rights with NitroPay, as explained in the previous section.

If you live in California or another U.S. state

Through the advertising partners, these categories of personal information are collected: identifiers, such as the IP address and cookie identifiers; internet activity information, such as the pages visited and interaction with the ads; and approximate geolocation. They are obtained from your browser and shared with NitroPay and its partners for advertising purposes, which California law may consider selling or sharing for behavior-based advertising. No sensitive personal information is used.

You have the right to know what data is collected, to request that it be deleted or corrected, to opt out of its sale or sharing and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To opt out, use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer, which appears for residents of the states where it applies and notifies NitroPay and its partners.

These laws also require offering a contact method for these requests, which is [email protected]. Because McCrafter does not store data about you, we will confirm this to you and explain how to direct your request to NitroPay.

McCrafter does not knowingly sell the personal information of anyone under 16.

Children

McCrafter is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a minor, use the site with permission from your parent or guardian.

If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, write to us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with its update date. If the change is significant, we will also announce it on the site.
